In other words, where do they film? Is there a studio? Where is it located? and what time of the year? Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall? Specific months?
Stargate SG-1 is sometimes filmed in Vancouver, B.C. - anyone know where and what time of the year?
As I answered your other one, so shall I answer this.
SG-1 and Atlantis are both filmed at Bridge Studios and various locations in and around Vancouver. Principal photography begins in March and runs until July, with all filming wrapped by September.
Reply:Generally, TV series begin filming a couple months before the first show airs and finish a couple months before the last show airs. BC probably has a film board that could tell you when they film and tell you how to apply to be an extra.
Yep, the do. The link is below.
MGM owns and licenses the show, and it is filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The first episode was broadcast on July 27, 1997 on Showtime, which aired the series' first five seasons. Seasons six, seven, eight, and nine were aired on the Sci Fi Channel. Sci Fi maintains that it is a "Sci Fi original series," due to the later seasons being broadcast on Sci Fi. In July 2005, the Sci Fi Channel renewed SG-1 for a tenth season, making it the longest-running science fiction series on American television, surpassing The X Files's 202 episodes.
Created by Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright, SG-1 originally starred Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge and Don S. Davis. The cast would change in later seasons. Actor Corin Nemec was a regular during the 6th Season, with Michael Shanks making only a few appearances as well as voicing Thor in several episodes. Davis moved into the background in the eighth season and Anderson in the ninth; the latter season added new regulars Ben Browder and Beau Bridges. For Season 10, Claudia Black will be added as a new regular, reprising her role as Vala Mal Doran.
A spin-off series, Stargate Atlantis, began airing in July 2004. The two shows now run in tandem, with plots that are occasionally interconnected.
