Husbands and wives, what do you take care of most of the time b/c your spouse is not good at it?

For me:


-loading the dishwasher (I can get so much more in there than she can!)


-organizing cabinets, closets and refrigerator (I always like to know where things are!)


-making the computer print (my wife ALWAYS has printing problems!)


-finances (although I am trying to get her more involved)


-folding sheets (she just wants to keep them in a big ball in the linen closet)


-major cleaning jobs (she can do the small daily things, I tackle the big stuff (clean the oven, stove, refrigerator, microwave)





Tell me yours--yes this is a kill some time question!

Husbands and wives, what do you take care of most of the time b/c your spouse is not good at it?
cleaning the house, doing the laundry, washing the dishes, taking care of the baby, mowing the grass, cleaning the vehicle..........................

Reply:well let me tell u i thought my husband was the only real husband left here on earth that really helps his wife out n the once ure married all work should b shared,but u need to let her help u with some of the things u say u do,then she might start doing them right,,mayb she doesnt really want to do these things n no u do them very well,good luck,n she is very lucky to have u for her husband..
Reply:I dated a guy for a while who actually ironed his T-shirts! How freaky is that. He hated my apartment because it was always cluttered up. I think thats the real reason he quit calling me - I was to messy.





My mom tells my dad if he complains about stuff like that, to clean it if it bugs him that much!
Reply:My husband is better at just about everything than me but he doesn't like to do around the house kind of things so I do them....not that I am better - it just works for us.
Reply:I'm a detail person, my husband is a big picture guy.





I do pretty much everything you do, other than the last one. I prefer to do the nitty gritty details like cleaning out the fridge. He dusts and vaccuums, picks up around the house, takes out the garbage and cleans the cat's litter box.
Reply:I cook all the time because I am good at it, and he...struggles. :)





I do most of the household chores, but he does iron occasionally because it's my real pet hate out of all of the chores.





He takes care of fixing stuff that has broken, whether it's electrical or a DIY thing, but I do the decorating.





The folding sheets bit of your question made me smile. He can't stand the way I ball sheets up and throw them in the closet either! He ends up sorting through it all and folding it again.
Reply:I take care of the inside of the house. Laundry, cleaning, shopping, bill paying etc. My husband is in charge of the outside of the house, cars, things that need to be fixed or hung up on the wall. My handyman. :)





However, my husband is very capable of doing everything I do, and I can do some of the thing he can.





We make a good pair and if either needs help, we help each other.
Reply:All that stuff just naturally filtered out pretty equitably for us by each doing what we were best at.


* I handle all household finances- he just doesn't think long term.


* I do most of the cooking- he does most of the dishes


* I do the major housework (mopping, cleaning the bathrooms)- he keeps the daily clutter picked up.


* He does the yard work- I keep everything inside organized and functional.


* I do the shopping- he does the laundry.

-laundry/ he helps sometimes


-bathrooms (clean, sink,mirrors, tub %26amp; toilets)

-any technical problems (computer problem solver)

His jobs:


-feed dog %26amp; take her out

Reply:The whole freaking house! the house is a huge laudry basket to him. he comes home and is glued to the chair and tv.... but yet he LOVES to complain about it....





Like, what you were saying. he yells because more dishes can fit in the washer.. (so I tell him to do it) then he tells me its fine.. I cant win with him
Reply:I do the house cleaning , laundry( fold and put away) , finances such as paying the bills on time ..etc... .


He organizes the kitchen cabinets, fix things around the house,computer problems he is always there to rescue me ..lol


That doesn't mean I don't try b/c I do try :)~
Reply:iam very good in sitting down, budgeting the money and making away to pay bills and still have money left over to enjoy our life. so all he dose is make the money bring it home to me and i figure out the rest! happy! happy! happy! and of course i use the money i earn to to help pays bills.

He is completely capable of doing everything I do.





I can do a lot of the stuff he can do- but not all.





We both also work full time, so its all good.....

-i always cook, every night except once a week when we go out (i love cooking!)


-he unloads the dishwasher and cleans pots and pans when i'm done cooking


-i wash clothes and he folds


-he usually takes out the trash


-he usually mowes


-he usually vacuums


-i clean fish tanks (i have tons of betta fish)


-i sweep the house


-i clean the kitchen counters, etc


-he cleans the fridge and bathrooms


-i wipe the mirrors


-we both grocery shop on saturdays or after work


-we both run errands (we work together and do it while we are out)





what else? i guess he's more of a clean freak so he picks up a lot more.
Reply:ok........I clean the bathrooms. He doesn't seem to mind that red ring around the toilet.





I make beds and change sheets


dust the living room and the rest of the house

he is the organizer.


Loves the cabinets clean.

I pay the bills cause 1. he's not as good at budgetting and 2 cause he doesnt want to deal with it.. lol

Finances...also trying to get him more involved. He's good about sticking to a budget but he forgets things. The only bill he's in charge of is his own cell phone. So if you ever want to reach him in the first few days of the month...you can't, its shut off.


Dishes...its not that he's not good at it, he just takes FOREVER.


Gifts...I do all of the gift shopping because he will always buy some expensive nonsense.


Planning vacations.
Reply:Organization and cleaning the house. I am very anal about it that is a flaw I guess. I do everything around the house, but he used to cut the yard and wash the trucks. He is good at the little repairs such as changing filters and other stuff I just don't like to do. His mom always did everything for him so that is why he does not like to do them now.

Reply:Things I do: laundry, vacuum, organization. I have no patience for computer stuff.


Things he does: mow, weedeat, computer stuff, and car maintenance. He has no patience for organization.

Reply:Cooking! He is a chef so he cooks. I'm terrible at it. I'm a better bathroom cleaner though. But we both clean. I do dishes and most of the laundry. But he does laundry too. I'm better at "bill paying" too.

Nope he is the worst husband ever i work the same amount of hrs as him he does sometimes cook but he act like a jerk all the time one thing he does is maybe watch are clothes but then we have no more white clothes there all brown how the heck he does that i have no idea! and then he throws it im my face that he did the laundry but heck i wish he would not he changes there colors all the time! and i wish he would clean the big stuff like the stove and refrigerator and the microwave! nope all he tells me its time to clean but it is just me cleaning !when are kids were younger he would tell me I'm going to my moms and you clean the house why we are gone like what i worked 80hrs a week just like him and he gets to have the weekend to go to his moms to sit with his brother and drink beer and are kids are playing with there cousin outside at his moms house... So yes i stayed home cleaned the whole house would call him and tell him I'm done and then he would say are you sure well it better be oh he makes me sick! Instead he should have said to the kids Saturday Morning are for you to clean your rooms and help pick up your clothes out of the bathroom but nope never i had to stay home on my Saturday and clean the whole freaking house! Now i have no idea how i could not have ended up with a hubby like you but i guess luck was not on my side! yes your wife is a very lucky woman i hope she treats you like a king!
Reply:My husben does all the cooking, finances, the dog, the vechicles like (keeping up on all the oil changes, tires, filling up with gas, keeping it clean..all that good stuff) flxes the things that get broke...





I do all the laundry, cleaning, everything that goes along with taking care of our 3 boys, all the shopping and all the remembering things for the both of us..lol
