I c people linkin more than 1 user id so they r all logged in at the same time does any1 know how 2 do this?

hi :)

a couple of ways ppl are doing this...

1. create an alias ID that is attached to your main account/default Yahoo! ID... that way when your default (main account) logs on you can have your alias account/s login also, this means if you set your status message to Busy, all your alias ID's will show as busy also but you have some control over which is "online" and which is "inactive"

To create an Alias ID...

from within Yahoo Messenger, along the top menu click on Messenger %26gt; My Profiles

click on Create / Edit My Profiles

a new browser window will open

click on Create New Public Profile

enter the new ID in Name Your Profile

complete any other fields you wish to use

click on Create Profile at the bottom of the page

you'll be taken back to the Public Profiles page

click on Finished Editing

sign out of Yahoo Messenger

log back in

from within Yahoo Messenger, along the top menu click on Messenger %26gt; My Profiles

make sure the drop down menu to the left of your new ID is set to Active

click Done

and you're all set up to use your new ID

2. you can also run two or more versions of yahoo messenger independently, this means you launch one version via the Yahoo icon as you normally would and login an ID, then you return back to the Yahoo icon, and single/double click to launch another instance of Yahoo Messenger which you can us to login another default ID. Version 8 supports this easily with a registry change, prior versions will require a new/modified version of the main exe file.

the registry file for v8 is at...
