Will I be able?? I'm not too weak, not too tough..
Why do I always hear of women having c-sections (like Angelina Jolie, and we all thought she had a pretty high tolerance for pain!), when the baby was in position and everything?! They just couldn't do it or what?? Help me please!
I'm scared that I just won't be ABLE to push when the time comes! What if I wuss out?! I don't want a c-sectio
Hun its tough but so are we.. women I mean.. and yes you will be able to.. The only time they will give you a c-section is if the baby is not in the right position etc..
You won't wuss out either, because your adrenalin will make you strong and most probably you will either yell, swear, or be so dang mad at the world .. many emotions go through us while giving birth but wussiness is NOT one of them.
Don't worry about one thing.. when they put that Darling baby in your arms for the first time...That pain will be history..gone!!
Reply:im sorry but if u cant finish a literate sentence then you wont be able to a babie hope u wish u neva left that answer on my page Report It
Reply:Sometimes they get stuck. It all depneds on your pelvis - not hips or thighs. You could be a thin woman with a big pelvic bone and push them right out, or a big fat girl with a small pelvis and have them get stuck. Nothing to do with toughness or pain threshold. If that is the best way to get the baby out to keep you and baby safe, you might have to do it. Good luck - I am sure you will be fine - the actual pushing is not the tough part.
Reply:You are misinformed. Having a C Section has nothing to do with pain tolerance. They hurt too, probably more cause of recuperating. You will be able to push, you can't not when the time comes. You can't wuss out, it is nature, when the baby is ready to come out, it will, no matter what. You get the urge to push and that is what you have to do. Relax, you will be fine, women do this everyday.
Reply:Babies generally explode out of the chest. I am an expert in babiology and most of the deliveries are done because some babies burst through the ribcage and chew off the umbilical cord. The drugs given to you to 'induce labor' are to calm the baby before birth. Some babies are resistant and must be cut out.
Reply:If you go through with the labour you'll push. It's a natural reaction to the situation, and it has to occur. You can't just not push. So no worries there.
C-sections are commonly used to plan births. They were once used only in situations where the woman couldn't have a natural delivery - a breach child, a child that was too big, or a situation where the health of the mother or child was in danger. But now they're very commonly done just so you can pick when you want to have the child, and so you won't have to bother with the possible complications and pain that can come from having a child - totally ripped vagina and anus, cracked tailbones, prolongued labour, etc.
My aunt is pregnant now with her second, and because her first birth was so complicated, as soon as she became pregnant this time, she and her doctor opted for c-section. It's nice because she knows what day she's going to have the child, and there is no question of any difficulty that might occur. And a c-section is so much easier on the child and the mother, very nice clean procedure, easy to get over, not traumatizing for anyone involved.
Reply:You can talk to a professional advisor, they are friendly and very helpful......
Reply:interesting. they dont usually do c-sections unless there is a medical cause to do so. though, never know about celebrities and the doctors to the celebs. perhaps, she got a tummy tuck out of it. who knows. but your regular doctor wont do a c-section unless it HAS to be done.
good luck
Reply:You might get some better answers if you repost this question in the Pregnancy %26amp; Parenting section. Still, I don't think anyone can tell you if you will or won't be able to push. Delivering a baby definitely isn't easy (I like Carol Burnett's comparison of delivery to pulling your bottom lip over your head), %26amp; will truly test your limits. However, if you can't deliver naturally, no one will look down on you for having a C-section. Ultimately, the doctor will determine what's safest for you %26amp; the baby, %26amp; will let you deliver naturally if it seems pheasible. Just remember to keep your baby's safety foremost in your mind, %26amp; if they do tell you you need a C-section, remember you're doing what's best for the child.
