Each time i click on my laptop's c: drive it wont open but gives me options to choose a program to open it.

when i click on the 'my computer icon' and ty to open my c: drive to check my program files i get thyis message that says 'choose a program to open with' and a list of programs is displayed but none can open the drive. this started when i cleaned a virus from my pc. what can i do to open my drive? please assist

something happened to the driver. If you know the manufacturer and model number of the drive, then first do a search to find the manufacturer. If you find the manufacturer website, find a link to support. there you will be able to download a driver for it . follow the manufacturers insructions for install... okay no luck there? go to download.com and find the drivers link on the menu. Once in driver section you can search using the model number. Oh and if you have a cd still in there and want to manually open it, there is a tiny pin sized hole on the drive itself. unfold a paperclip and push firmly into hole the tray should come out like a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch then you can pull it open fully.
