I know that it takes some time for a balance transfer to go through on a c.c...?

and it states that i may still need to make a payment on my other c.c. (the one i am transferring my balance off of) if the transfer doesn't go through by the due date...now, i am transferring the full balance, so my question is what if i have to make a payment, but i had set up a transfer for the full amount?

ex.) c.c. i am transferring from has a balance of $1000, I have to make a payment on it because the transfer didn't go through yet. Now my new balance would only be $980, what happens to that $20?? Will they only transfer $980 even though i set it up for $1000?? anyone know how this works...?

Your best bet would be to call the credit card customer service number that you are transfering the balance to.

I would say, worst case scenario, you may wind up with a $20 credit on your account that you are transfering from. In that case, if you call that creditor, they should have no problem sending you a check for the overpaid balance.

Good luck!
