2003 f150 wipers, horn, and a/c all stopped working at same time. any ideas?

my wipers wont wipe, but the wiper spray works. so i dont think its the switch. my horn will only blow when truck is turned off. my a/c blows warm air. they all stopped working one day on my way home from work. i took it to a shop but they had only guesses and wanted to charge nearly a grand to try 2 or 3 diffrent things and couldnt garentee that would fix the problem. i dont have a grand to throw away for something that might not work, so im here hopeing someone can help me out. thanx

are there mice where you live? they love to chew through wires, causing intermittent shorts and grounds.
Reply:Buy yourself a test light and check all of the fuses, check your owners manual for the locations of fuse boxes, you probably have more than one fuse burnt out.
Reply:I am not expert but i think this is problem with your electronic circuit and wiring... better you consult any expert like http://lvvservices.com
Reply:check relays
Reply:fuse in the engine compartment
Reply:you have a blown fusible link on it somewhere and its knocked out all the power to it,there are several on that truck too, start by the power block supply on it,and follow all the positive wires through, you,ll find it ,but it will take some time,i got a 2000 model f-150 that did the same things 3 days in to it,and i found it today, down by the starter, good luck with it.
Reply:Honestly, that sounds like it could be as simple as a ground going bad. If your wiper motor, horn, and A/C compressor clutch all share a ground or have a ground in a similar area on your truck, it could be causing your problems. A wire could have come loose, been chewed through, or corroded through (not as likely as the others on a 2003). Get some wiring diagrams and someone who can read them (if you can't) and check out your grounds. It definately sounds like an electrical problem, so check the grounds to start with, and if that's not the problem, then at least you will have eliminated something from your possible causes list. Hope this helps.
Reply:my dad had similar problems but it turned out he had one burned out fused and two that where loose. check your fuses. He also had another problem with another car after getting the engine wet. The mechanic said it got the computer that controls things like the lights and stuffand kinda messed it up. But to check that a mechanic needs to do that. But check your fuses yourself.
Reply:check at automotiveforums.com to see if other owners have had the same problem
Reply:We have a 2001 F150 and our horn started acting up the other day and then started working properly again. I think it's fuse was just loose. I would check the fuses. I am sure that the mechanic that you took it to was just worried about making some money and not worried about checking the simple, inexpensive stuff. Good luck.
Reply:Our wipers quit working one day, and it was a simple solution...it was just a fuse. Did you check that? Don't know if this helps, but I tried. Good Luck!
Reply:CHECK ALL OF YOUR FUESABLE LINKS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE.
