I had my first child a c section can i go thru a vaginal next time?

Well through out my pregnacy everything seem perfect, my baby was moving and growing very well. but as soon as my pregnancy was ending i felt minor contractions they werent killng me like how ppl describe it, but my doctor said i was dilated 1- 2 inch and was going to have the baby soon, so i went to the emergency room, they set me in the labor rooms and monitor my babies heart beat, then the nurses and doctors said that the baby heart beat was dropping everytime i got a contraction, but i did not feel my contractions to be so painful. weird? huh so they monitor the heart beats claiming that i needed to do a immediate c section that my baby would not survive vaginal birth, so as a worried new mother i agree to do the c section, i really was looking foward to the vaginal birth. ppl say that the doctor were lying its impossible that i shld have done the vaginal and that the doctors exaggerate to get more money, well i didnt want to take that risk but i really wantd a vaginal birth

usually c-section delivery is when mother or child are in danger...maybe ur OB decided to have a C-section because ur baby might be at risk...if u want to have a normal delivery next time just make sure that u are doing everything for the best of ur unborn child...like eating the proper food, excercise, do scheduled pre-natal and monitor ur babies heartbeat every now and then...with that u can be sure to have a normal delivery, :-)
Reply:yes you can!
Reply:Why do you think the doctors were lying? It is standard practice if the baby's heartbeat is not strong enough or consistent enough, they will do a c- section. Doing a vaginal birth is very hard and traumatic on a baby. It takes a lot of them and if the baby is half way down the canal and has a problem with the heartbeat, they will not be able to get the baby out in time.

But just because you had one c-section does not mean you have to have another. It totally depends on how your body healed from the last one. Sometimes the scar tissue will attach itself to other parts of your body making it impossible to do a vaginal birth. Just depends.
Reply:Yes you can. My mom had my older brother thru c-section and me the natural way.
Reply:I did a co-op in the neonatal Intensive care unit and watched a c section before, i was told by the OB-GYN that once you have a c-section you will always have to have one to prevent unnessessary risk to the unborn child.
Reply:you can but you have to wait for to years for you body to be right to have a vaginal birth.
Reply:Unless they really screwed up doing the C-Section you shouldn't have a problem. Doctors used to say that once you have a c-section they won't EVER do a vaginal birth but more and more docs are doing VBAC's (Vaginal Birth After C-Section) now. When you get pregnant again talk to your doc and make sure he/she is willing to do the VBAC...if not...find a new doc!!!
Reply:You need to talk to your doctor and talk to the hospital. Some doctors won't to a VBAC and the same with some hospitals. They fear that a rupture can accure with it during labor. If the doc and hospital both say no, look into midwifing and birthing centers. I know that here in California, once a csec, always a csec.

Good luck to you.
