with my first i was in labor all day and at night they decided i needed a c-section... i was exhausted and they even had to put me to sleep cause i could feel the operation ( i didnt have a spinal i had an epidural)......
The recovery was HORRIBLE..
How was the second one for you?
Is a c-section easier the second time around?
well you can have your other baby normal you don't have to have c-section and i know this because my sister had c-section on her 1st baby but not on the 2nd what you can do too is just walk everyday for 30min and you will be just fine don't worry i hope you are doing better!!!!!!!
Reply:For me, the first was easier, and I only needed painkillers two times on one day. The 2nd hurt a little more, but not too bad. And to the person who said she doesn't "need" a c-section, how do you know? Not all women get them for convenience. Mine were medically necessary, and I'm getting one this time so my uterus doesn't rupture. They had no affect on my bonding with my babies or their bonding with me, and if a baby is in distress, you go ahead and insist on a natural birth, but I would rather keep my child alive, so maybe she's getting another c-section for the same reason. I would have had a "normal" (and for my kids I consider "normal" to be whatever is best for them) birth if I could have safely, but I couldn't so I didn't, and I wouldn't change anything.
Reply:With my first I was in Labor for 13 hrs and I had an emergency c-section. My recovery was long and hard. I just had my second child 2 weeks ago and had a planned c-section. My recovery this time around is so much easier. The first week I was home I stayed in. But the second week I was out and about. Running errands I needed to get done and so on. I dunno if it's different for different people. But I found it much easier the second time around.
Best of Luck to you!!!
Reply:My sister had two c-sections, the first one was emergency and the second planned. She found the second easier because you knew what you could and couldn't do. She lived with us for a while, so I could help with the 1st child. What was the reason for having a c-section? You can still try for a vaginal delivery, just have to discuss with your doctor. If you do need the c-section, don't worry too much because they will already know the information from the last pregnancy.
Reply:I've only had one and it was a hard recovery, but my friend had two and she said that the second was sooooo much better. She said that she went to Wal-mart the day after she came home from the hospital! I hope my next c-section is better than the first. I had labored for 61 hours and then had a c-section because my pelvic bone was too small for my baby to come out. My baby was in NICU for a week and I stayed with him. It was nice to get to heal in a hospital because a nurse would get anything I wanted and they made all the food for me. I am with you on that! I hope the second c-section is better!
Reply:Pretty much the same but you know what to expect. The quicker you get out of bed the quicker you feel better (topped up with pain killers of course) I had an epidural for my first but I was put to sleep during delivery,I was in labour for 2 days and just couldnt dialate, babys heartrate was dipping drastically so I had to have an emergency c-section. The second was an elected c-section which turned out to be another emergency c-section, like the first.I stayed awake for the second and it was quite scary as I was on my own.My hubby fell asleep at home %26amp; the doctors could'nt contact him in time for the birth! All the nurses told me that if you try to get up and about as soon as you feel able then you feel better more quickly, I was up the next day (both births) and it's true...dont know why? A lot of the other women laid in bed for almost a week and they were on painkillers all that time and all said that they felt like c.r.a.p. Good luck if you are expecting %26amp; have to have another c-section. I know it's horrible but at least you know your baby will be born ok without any complications x
