When you have a c-section (cesarean)...how long is the usual recovery time?

I understand that it takes longer than a vaginal birth to heal. I want to hear from women who have had c-sections and how long it took you to recover and get back to your regular routines? Did you have an epidural? Also, how long were you off of work? Any advice is appreciated

i had the epidural which was amazing as well as an emeergency c section i was hoping for natural but my daughter had other plans it took me about 1 month to get back on track you do heal slowly but the recovery time is much faster than vaginal you may also loose som feeling in your lower abdoman i still have no feeling on my left lower side near my incision but thats normal they do have to cut through all those nerves and tissue
Reply:Every body is different but usually between 4 to 6 weeks before you feel normal and not so sore.
