it's something related to the fact that the length of the year changed since then.

Reply:well back in that time they didnt have years so we now refer to b.c. or before christ.. meaning before his time....
Reply:Originally, it was intended to be 0 A.D. however, new information does say that it was probably about 4 B.C. Also, B.C. Means Before Common Era. It is actually abbreviated B.C.A. A.D. stands for Common Era, in Latin (I can't remember the exact words).
